Afgelopen week was het de Nationale Klimaatweek. Als klimaatsupporter organiseerden we een educatieve avond voor de jongeren uit de Toekomstclub van GeoFort. Samen met 15 toekomstambassadeurs gingen we sterrenkijken op het donkere forteiland.
Wat hebben sterren met de toekomst te maken?
Vele astronauten ervaren het ‘overview-effect’, waarbij ze vanuit de ruimte beseffen hoe bijzonder én hoe kwetsbaar de planeet aarde is. Door naar de sterren te kijken ga je beseffen hoe fascinerend het ontstaan van het heelal is met het zwarte gat, de vele zonnen, de planeten, kometen en meteorieten. Door juist heel ver weg te kijken, ga je begrijpen hoe bijzonder onze planeet is.
Het was een geslaagde avond! Op een onbewolkt ogenblik zagen ze zelfs de kraters van de maan en de vier manen van Jupiter.
